Note Chiang Mai burning season (Feb–Apr) is the reason Bangkok's own spring cells drop, and Gulf hubs (Dubai) invert everything — winter-only.
Why the hazard glyphs matter: a temperature average hides the two things most likely to wreck a stay — smoke and storms. Chiang Mai’s Feb–Apr burning season is a hard constraint, not a preference, and it overlaps the tail of its own peak season; the Caribbean coast’s Sep–Oct hurricane peak is exactly when its prices look most tempting. Fire glyphs on Bangkok and Mexico City are watch-items (check the air index that week), not automatic avoids; Kuala Lumpur’s haze depends on the year.
