One Bag · Carry-On Only
Built for a wardrobe that lives at 72 °F year-round: light layers, one warm piece for
altitude and over-air-conditioned buses, and rain protection instead of cold protection.
Target: 7 kg / 15.4 lb packed — the strictest common carry-on limit
(budget carriers, regional Latin American and Asian airlines).

How this list works
Wear-on items (tagged) don't count toward the bag weight — shoes and the
warm layer are the two heaviest things you own, so they go on your body on flight days.
The 72° rule: everything is a thin layer. Three layers stacked handles
55 °F; the top two come off at 85 °F. You are never packing for winter, only for
evenings, altitude, and aggressive air conditioning.
Laundry every 4 days is the assumption. Merino and synthetics let you
re-wear; sink-wash two items each night and nothing ever piles up.
Bag size: 30–40 L. Under 40 L is what keeps it personal-item or
overhead-legal nearly everywhere; over 40 L invites gate-checking.
